EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT

The Ayuda

ARMband

A compact device designed to detect overdoses and call for help promptly. It can be worn under short sleeves. At Ayuda, we prioritize accuracy and reliability, working towards FDA approval to ensure the ARMband keeps you safe.

This product is in development and not yet approved by FDA

How it Works

Step 1: Detection

The ARMband remains in sleep mode until it detects signs of a potential overdose. It continuously monitors for indicators such as lack of motion, changes in breathing patterns, and drops in oxygen levels. Once it confirms that the wearer is unresponsive, it activates an escalating alarm to alert those nearby.

Step 2: Alerting

Upon detecting an overdose, the ARMband emits a loud, escalating alarm—even if it isn’t connected to a phone. It removes any uncertainty by announcing,

This is an overdose,” followed by clear instructions:

“Get help; give Naloxone now!”

Step 3: Life-Saving Measures

To prevent false alarms, the ARMband is equipped with multiple fail-safe sensors, ensuring prompt help is dispatched. The accompanying mobile app allows for alerts to Emergency Medical Services (EMS), overdose response teams, or a network of community responders.

Additionally, when an overdose is detected, the app will send voice or text alerts to preselected contacts as a secondary layer of protection.

Respecting privacy is one of our core values, so the wearer retains full control over who is contacted and what information is shared during an emergency. You can designate friends and family as contacts, as well as include emergency services like 911 and overdose response teams.

The streamlined design ensures that the arm band is not only highly functional but also visually appealing, blending seamlessly with everyday wear.

The ARMband App

The ARmband App enhances safety for users while offering valuable features for patients. In the event of an overdose, the app can send voice or text alerts to preselected contacts, ensuring prompt help even if the wearer cannot respond.

Privacy is a core value, giving wearers control over who is contacted during an emergency and what information is shared. Users can designate friends, family, or emergency services (like 911 or overdose response teams) as their contacts.

The app also supports patients by allowing them to track usage patterns, monitor health metrics, and access tailored resources, empowering them to manage their health.

While the ARmband operates independently, the companion mobile app enhances functionality, enabling caregivers to remotely monitor the device and provide support. It functions without reliance on Wi-Fi, ensuring alerts can be sent regardless of the situation.
